Naked Bicycles & Design - Gallery Additions Naked Bicycles & Design - Gallery Additions en-us Fri, 24 Oct 2014 23:05:08 UTC (Todd Heckeler) (Todd Heckeler) Gallery Addition: Kate's Grand Touring for Rohloff and EBB Thu, 23 Oct 2014 19:32:03 +0000 Kate came to pick up her frame and fork last night in the rain and muck of Quadra Island. Earlier that morning I helped to remove a giant maple that fell on the road out here. It was uprooted! Heavy rain and winds. Kate and her partner were getting ready to tuck in for the night, in their tent, just as the rains started laying in again. But they are no strangers to rough weather. Her plan is to build up this touring bike over the winter in northern BC. It’s ready for that Rohloff hub that she’s been waiting to use. Kate and her partner, Tim, run a homemade, wood-fired, sourdough bread company up in Wells, BC. In case you are up that way,  .

More about the frame. This is a grand adventure, steel for 700C. 3 water bottle mounts. Rack and fender mounts. Disc brake mounts. Custom steel fork for disc too.

Out of all the cross bikes made in this mega batch of 12, Renny’s was a little different. Not like the others. His heads back to the nostaligic paint of the early 90’s,  pre-Trek days of Klein bikes.
