Bicycle Frames

We crave variety in our frame building practice; the tried and true classic as well as the weird and wacky. We love the simplicity of the bicycle in all its wonderful incantations. We do not believe that any type of bike is better than another, they all have there place the right one is the one that is right for you. If you are not sure, we would be happy to help you decide on the best option, even if it is not one of ours! All forms of bicycle are considered :

  • Racing - Road, Triathalon, Track and TT
  • Adventure – Audax, Road sport, Rando and extreme touring
  • Singlespeed - road or mountain
  • Psycho-cross – muddy or extra muddy
  • MTB – Hardtails and 29ers
  • Tandem – Road, Mountain or track

Most of our frames are TIG welded. This is the lightest, most versatile way to join a collection of tubes. For those who want some old world charm we are happy to go back to our roots and use either silver-brazed lugs or the ultra-smooth fillet braze. If you really want to blind your friends with bike frame splendor, try a complete hand-polished stainless lugged frame!

Complete bicycles also available and indeed encouraged to be sure of complete synchronicity of function. We build using, Steel and Aluminum with carbon as an option for some frame parts.

Steel: Still the most versatile building material for most bicycle frames. A good steel frame will last a very long time regardless of construction method. If comfort, un-paralleled ride quality, asthetic and longevity are your definition of a great bicycle than this is by far the best option.

Aluminum: If speed and lightweight are your only considerations than this is the material of choice. In addition to the best standard tubing available from Columbus and Easton, we have put together a custom collection of Aero tubing specifically for un-compromised speed when the clock is your enemy whether it be for track, time-trial or triathlon.

We strongly encourage you to let us build your new frame into a complete synergetic machine. Components purchased through us are installed and adjusted free of charge.

If you already have some or all of the parts you need, it is also best to send them along to ensure the best possible fit.

Handlebars, Stems & Forks

If your stems or aerobars don't seem to fit exactly right or you simply want to go faster, consider a custom alternative . Naked Custom Aerobars are very popular and cost about the same as most stock setups so why wouldn't you get a rig that is made just for you?  Naked bars have been used in the World Championships and other international races. A few fast people who have used the bars include Olympic Gold medalist Clara Hughes and World Master's Kilo Record Holder and US National Champion, Steve Hill.

Most of the stock forks out there are great and we use them on many of our custom frames but if you want something truly unique or a size that is outside the box, let us make the fork your after. Lugged? Unicrown? Suspension corrected? Cantis? Disks? Side-pulls? All of the above? No problem.

  • Stems start at $150
  • Aero bars and Sprint bars start at $450 for full one-piece set
  • Forks start at about $300.
